Our bigger sister organisation is BEAM ABA Services, an organisation that supports teenagers and young adults with autism and learning disability in the home, local community, and relevant educational and social care settings. We have been existence since 2010, and are commissioned by Social Services and Integrated Care Boards.
We provide in-house training to our colleagues covering a wide variety of areas, and often lament the lack of specialist training providers available.
What is important to us is the young people’s quality of life, and in turn, the positive experience that those supporting can both have and provide.
We know that there is so much care and kindness in our profession, but this needs to be supported by quality training delivered by practitioners who know the daily realities of providing support.
We have set up our Training and Consultation service in the hope of being able to provide some of this training and support to open-minded practitioners and organisations.
Our focus is on proactive support, putting in strategies that help to promote independence, improve communication, increase community participation, and reduce the frequency, duration, and intensity of behaviours of concern.
We will work with you to develop and to provide bespoke training and consultation that your colleagues and service need.
